It’s that time of year again when Six Flags Great America transforms from the ordinary to the extraordinary. If you didn’t get a chance to go to the Chicago-area theme park’s first-ever Holiday in the Park light extravaganza last year, don’t miss out on the family fun this year. The event is open on weekends and select days from November 23-December 31, 2019.
For 2019, Six Flags has gone all out to create a “dazzling display of lights, sights and sounds.” In addition, to 45 open rides, visitors are also treated to holiday shows, attractions and food. Millions of star-bright LED lights strung throughout transform the park into a magical wonderland, and make riding the coasters in December the perfect family holiday tradition.
As is the case with a lot of entertainment these days, ticket prices can be, well, a little pricey, especially for a family. So I’ve done the sleuthing for you on how to get discount Six Flags Holiday in the Park tickets. Here’s what I found.

For those of you who get regular season and Fright Fest discount Six Flags tickets at Jewel Osco, please note: Jewel Osco does not sell Holiday in the Park Six Flags tickets. Luckily, there are other ways to save big.
Buy Daily Tickets online and save $25 per ticket!
Online Daily Tickets purchased at sixflags.com are $54.99; a savings of $25 per ticket! Since these tickets must be used on the exact day you select (rain, snow or shine) and must be purchased at least one day in advance, it’s a good idea to purchase them as close as possible to the day of use when you know the weather forecast. Online Any Day Tickets are $79.99, the same price as at-the-park tickets, however, this type of ticket comes with a FREE upgrade to a Holiday Pass good for unlimited visits to Six Flags Great America through December 31, 2019. That means you can go to Holiday in the Park as many times as you want!
Buy a 2020 season pass and get free admission to Holiday in the Park
If you buy a 2020 season pass during November & December, you get unlimited visits to Six Flags for the rest of 2019, including Holiday in the Park, and all of 2020. This special includes a free upgrade to a Gold Season pass and all its normal perks.

Group Ticket Discounts
Group discounts (minimum 15 people) are available for Holiday in the Park. These general admission tickets are $31.73 each! Additionally, you’ll receive one complimentary ticket for every 20 tickets purchased. Children 2 and under are free.
